Flute lessons in The Hague

The flute is one of the oldest instruments. It dates back to the Stone Age, when it was made from bone. The heyday of the flute was during the Baroque period (1600-1750). At that time, the flute was made of wood and was called a traverso. Many composers loved this instrument and wrote music for it. Nowadays, the flute is made of metal and offers a wide range of possibilities in terms of sound, volume and repertoire. To this day, it remains one of the most popular instruments in existence. It is played in symphony and harmony orchestras. The transverse flute is also extremely popular in jazz.

Structure and/or content of the lessons

One advantage of the flute is that it is possible to start making music quite quickly. Pupils can express their musical preferences: classical, jazz or light music? Technique is developed in a playful manner. During lessons, a great deal of attention is paid to ensemble playing. This is instructive, but above all great fun. Enjoyment is the most important aspect.
